I suggest a good start to better education would be to weed out members of Common Purpose and dismiss them.

Mona McNee and Alice Coleman have just released a wonderful book titled "The Great Reading Disaster" dealing with all of these topics. (I have a review on the American Amazon.com, if you want more info.) Basically, class size is virtually irrelevant if educators are intent on sabotage. So, the first order of business is to discredit and dismiss all the so-called educators. I'd like to see more involvement by business execs; and more assertiveness by teachers (a Teacher Liberation Front, as I call it in an article you can find via Google).
