Emma McClarkin gives a robust response on EU flags for British athletes

A good speech with some excellent points. Shame she waffled so much at the start — I was close to giving up before she actually started saying something of interest. Best to start the video about 1 minute in.
And the EU’s response was typical: “Oh no, this isn’t about flags at all. That’s just one tiny adpect of a whole report. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill.” Yes, but if we don’t make the mountain, the molehill will stand, and our footballers will be wearing EU flags on their shirts, whether we like it or not. How very typical of the EU to dismiss the concerns of little people as being nothing worth taking much notice of.
Amazing that so many MEP’s were present! Daniel Hannan never has such an audience.
Andrew: Thanks. I think the difference is that you usually see Dan addressing a plenary debate — when there’s no one much there — whereas in this video clip, Emma is speaking in Committee.
Funny, I thought ‘plenary’ meant ‘full’.
