  1. Richard Moore says:

What ever happens Nigel should be recognised. And the house of Lords would be a start. Once in the Lords he will have influence which would I expect be covered by the press and keep all leavers confident to put MP’s toes to the fire when required. In terms of contacts. I was very surprised to understand from Lord Owen at a Bruge group meeting quite how much he does behind the scenes still ( and in terms Brexit he is an arch leaver than god) On the public record he quoted from his last meeting just before the referendum his meeting from the Canadian prime minister ( Very helpful in terms of a trade deal and from American secretaries of state who privately did not understand why we were even in the EU! publicly American policy had to be there mantra well that hopefully has changed). I can not think that a Title would not go down well with Mr trump as it does with most Americans indeed not the rest of the world. I am not convinced that the PM politically can get away with official position so this might be the only way. In any case all the best deals are done on the basis of who you know rather than what you know. Mrs May would be a fool not to privately have regular meetings with Nigel. and the House of Lords may be one way. but what do I know.

    • Theresa May does not want Nigel Farage in Donald Trumps’ team. She has now brought her husband into the BREXIT deals, after more than FIVE months of delay tactics. Nigel Farage is the best man we have to negotiate with Donald Trump and by far the best man to be at the BREXIT negotiating table, but Theresa May and the conservatives will not allow any of this. They will block any advantage for Nigel and the British patriotic people who overwhelmingly voted to LEAVE. They refuse to admit/realize that we, the People, mean, LEAVE means LEAVE. No if and or but. No small print, no water-down version, no further ransom to the EU and NO interpretation from the Remainers.

      • KennieD says:

        Spot on, June

      • mike5262015 says:

Check out my recent take on this June. I am not sure that Nigel Farage is being cold shouldered by one and all in the Commons, just because he stands under the wrong banner. – I think it is a matter of Personal Benefit to those involved, and the idea of representing the people, is not even in their minds !

    • catweazle666 says:

You would think that after the way the British political Establishment have treated Donald Trump – sneered at him, patronised him, belittled him, downright insulted him and come within an ace of declaring him persona non grata and banning him from entering the country altogether, they would have seized the opportunity to use Nigel Farage to pour the odd gallon of oil on the very troubled waters.

But no, such is their pig ignorance, short-sightedness and downright arrogance they can’t admit they have made some very serious mistakes in their handling of relations of the President-elect of the richest, most powerful nation on Earth, and are depending on the offices of yet another toffee-nosed snob who has already poisoned his relations with Trump.

It is not just the Washington political swamp that needs draining, the British one is in dire need of it also.

      • mike5262015 says:

The swamp is being drained, but it takes time. I was thinking of how the conversation went when Cameron met Juncker for his so called negotiations. ………. Cameron. ………. Let me have something to trumpet back home to show the success of our meeting. ………. Juncker. ………. I’ll give you something, you stupid little Etonian ass. We were almost there with GB/UK in the bag, and then, you stupid wanker, you bring on your own in or out referendum. – No golden retirement package for you. – We will keep that to our people, like Lord and Lady Kinnock. Now sod off !

  2. Ex-expat Colin says:

This appears to be more than it is:

A sort of globalisation wrecking team. Pre configured and ready to go!

Prepare for incoming bile and outrage..or blubbering?

  3. barrymx5 says:

Well replied Roger to this snide little media git whose questions are always loaded.

  4. catalanbrian says:

Farage has only ever worked for the interests of Farage. I cannot imagine anyone worse to represent the UK’s Britain’s interests in negotiations than Farage, a man who should be considered for prosecution for his treachery. I think that your endorsing this man does rather call into question your own judgement.

  5. Jane Davies says:

    Well said Roger…..

  6. Dung says:

I do envy Catalanbrian his popularity >.<

    • Jane Davies says:

Negative attention is better than no attention I guess!

    • catalanbrian says:

You can be certain that if I was popular with the people reading this blog I would be very worried and disappointed

      • KennieD says:

Then why bother reading or commenting on this blog catalan? Is it because you want to keep your little lifeline to UK for when EU goes tits up and big trouble arrives in Spain when the real Catalonians want independence?
Anyway, we love having you here caty, who else have we got to laugh at.

      • catalanbrian says:

I follow this blog just to see just what the loonies are thinking. I have no lifeline to the UK and burnt my bridges a long time ago. Catalan independence, if it was to happen would not in any way harm, or make any significant difference to me. Quite frankly I think that it is not the EU that goes tits up but rather the UK, which has some frightening prospects ahead of it, but we shall see.

      • catweazle666 says:

“Then why bother reading or commenting on this blog catalan?”

        Because he’s a TROLL!

That’s what they do, that’s how they brighten their grey, empty lives, posting drivel and hoping to cause their betters minor irritation.

Mind you, it is always fun to poke them with sharp sticks and make them squeak, hoot, gibber and impotently wave their little arms and stamp their tiny feet!

  7. HELLOW SEEN THE PRESS SET UP ,WITCH HUNT MAYBE SOON WE CAN CUT OFF THEIR FUNDS ABND GET TH FUCK OUT OF THE E,U.LONG LIVE A FREE ENGLAND

  8. MIKE MAUNDER says:

You all need to put the booze to one side.or is it your old take on politics here in UK/GB. Things are changing in this country. We have had a referendum with a result that takes us, eventually out of the E.U. Only one Party got it right, UKIP spoke for the majority of the British people, and Nigel Farage led that party. His involvement with Trump and the USA is an item that I would not wish to comment on, but it shows he is far thinking, unlike the other Parties. My Step Mother at the age of 98, has said that Farage reminds her of a Spiv. I think Nigel was motivated by the total nonsense that is the E.U. today and indeed for the last few decades. Democracy is very fragile, and can be done away with in front of an E.U. bulldozer, that is motivated by well meaning ideas at the start, but has fallen into a Soviet system, that is going to crash. ( Scotland please take note of this.). In finishing, think of the frustration and anger that Maggie May has, having to make clear that Nigel Farage has no voice in British Government ! ! ! …………. yet !

    • YET WE HAVE TO BECOME GOVERNMENT

    • KennieD says:

Yes, but I think your step-mother, at the age of 98, is of the generation who believed they were too stupid to understand things and left it all to the “establishment” politicians and hangers-on. Anybody who did not toe the official establishment line was a “spiv”.
For example, my wife’s mother. her Dad was in France during the 1st World war and helped his girlfriend (later his wife, my wife’s Grandmother) to escape from the invading Germans and to leave France for the safety of England. Much later, her new husband, my wife’s Dad, was enlisted to fight in the 2nd world war, again against Germany.
In May this year, we went to visit her on our way back to France (we live in France, even though I’m a “Leaver”) and the conversation was thus:
Mum: “I hate the Germans, we had to fight them twice”
Me: ” Yes, but things are different now, Mum”
Mum: “I don’t care, I still hate the Germans”
      a little while later…
Me: “So, you will be voting to leave the EU then Mum?”
Mum: “No, we must stay in the EU”
      Me: “Why is that Mum”
Mum: “Well, you live in France don’t you?”
Me: (to myself)…”Don’t say anymore, time to go home”

  9. Josephione Hill says:

It totally galls the Conservatives, Labour and Libdems that Nigel Farage realised how disenchanted the voters are with all three Parties. For years voters have been sidelined and treated like ignorant children who should leave all the decisions to those who know better – or thought they did.
People lost interest in politics years ago and turned their attention to football which resulted in people only buying newspapers to read the sporting section while ignoring what was actually happening in their own country and the rest of the world.
The in out referendum has grabbed the voter’s interest and re-invigorated interest in politics and the American election was also of great interest to the British public.
I hope Mr. Farage does receive recognition for what he has achieved but the present establishment system will not allow this to happen.
The only alternative to Labour as the opposition party can only be UKIP and for this reason our family will continue voting for UKIP at every opportunity.
The more UKIP M.Ps. we can get into parliament the better. UKIP will vote with the Conservatives on most things as they have roughly the same views but will also bring in a much needed fresh outlook on what the voters expect from their government and break the cartel of professional politicians with no life experience outside of politics.

  10. Ex-expat Colin says:

Media keyboard (part)…total crap version, just like their services:

    Bile is missing?

    • catalanbrian says:

A handy number of shortcuts to describe most Kippers and their supporters?

      • Ex-expat Colin says:

        Just FO…for ever

      • catalanbrian says:

What a nice man you are. By the way can you please explain why the Kippers misused EU funds in the referendum campaign. I think that the fact that these funds were deliberately misused just indicates the type of person who supports them.

      • catweazle666 says:

“By the way can you please explain why the Kippers misused EU funds in the referendum campaign.”

Yes, why not (although AFAIK that matter is still under investigation and has not yet been decided, so as usual you are chucking around baseless insults)?

Right after you explain why “Cast Iron” (remember how he acquired that soubriquet?) Cameron explains why he misused £9.3 million of taxpayers’ money to send his mendacious propaganda leaflet to every household in the country.

  11. vanorman2016 says:

Nigel Farage is an excellent choice to work with Donald Trump in the White House. Nigel is experienced and knowledgeable with the UK and Europe. He is honest, calls a spade a spade, has courage and determination. He is also not a warmonger. The two of them will make a great team, beneficial to both the UK and the USA.

  12. David Buckingham says:

Roger that was a fantastic blast of fresh air thank you. I love the new confidence that’s breaking out amongst Leavers. The Remainer fallacies are getting more and more worn-looking in spite of heavy guns being repeatedly wheeled out.

    • Jane Davies says:

Bad losers eventually alienate even the mildest of people and will be dismissed in the fullness of time. We have a generation that have been taught that nobody loses and everyone is a winner so as not to hurt their feelings, this is what we reap for this attitude that has been taught in schools from 5 years and up. Life out in the real world is not like that, the sooner they realise that the happier they will be.

For years the EU have not made accounts of their spending. Probably because they are frighten to do so being as they are so stupid.

      • KennieD says:

And the one who called attention to this EU fraud was fired off by our very own, wonderful, LORD Kinnock.

  14. Ex-expat Colin says:

Independent Auditing..as NOT in the above. Does anybody know where the current £90 million odd is spent and the rest of it in the past. This site shows nothing informative:

    https://www.childreninneed-donations.co.uk/

Its a big bother really and some comments are flying…accountability and all that usual blubbering wordy stuff. It prevents a lot of people from contributing. Must be somewhere, only won’t be asking the BBC blowheads!

  15. MIKE MAUNDER says:

I have to correct FRASER SIGSWORTH and his down beat view of GB/UK. We are not stuffed, nor is the NHS. – We would have been stuffed if we had continued with the E.U. membership, and I realised this back in the 1980s, so when Cameron activated the referendum, in the face of a challenge to HIS votes, from UKIP, I was just so pleased. At long last I was able to correct my error as a young man by voting for the Common Market, into a leave at any cost vote at the referendum. I was overjoyed that so many good people had the same view for this Nation. Now we have to work to make this great Nation all that it can be. Fraser, you are about 20 years younger than me, which means it is likely that you will see the benefit from this change, and see what happens to the E.U., so you might like to do your bit in trying to turn Scotland around from a huge error that their nationalism is trying to bring about. – Just tell them and repeat it many times that independence in any form will not arrive by joining the E.U. May God Bless you Fraser, and all of us Brits, as we take such bold steps into the future, and our betterment.

    • I WISH YOU WERE RIGHT,BUT YOUR NOT WE WONT B LEAVING THE E,U ,W BEEN LIED TO??? FIRST W WON .I FELT BRILLIANT DEMOCRACY PREVAILS ,THEN BORIS WHO I THINK COULD HAVE BEEN PM BAD ONE BUT WE WOULD HAVE HAD A HARD BREXIT IS STABBED IN BACK BY GOVE,FOLLOW TIME LINE LIKE FORENSIC CRIME SCENE ,THEN

        (CAPS FOR LEGIBILITY)

        OH YES WE WILL!

AND AFTER US, WHEN MARINE LE PEN GETS ELECTED, FRANCE WILL BE LEAVING TOO.

AND AFTER FRANCE… EVEN GERMANY ISN’T BEYOND THE BOUNDS OF POSSIBILITY IF AFD GET THE GAINS THEY ARE PREDICTED TO MAKE NEXT YEAR.

IN ANY CASE, IF WE DON’T GET OUT FAST, THE QUESTION WILL BE MOOT, THERE WILL BE NO EU LEFT TO GET OUT OF.

EVEN NOW, THE EU IS DEAD, TO ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES.

IT JUST HASN’T STOPPED TWITCHING YET.

AS TO “AND WE WONT BECAUSE THEIR STATISTICS SHOW THOSE WHO OBJECT OR THAT CRITICAL 4.3 PR CENT MAJORITY DEAD IN 2 YRS”, I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU GET THAT DERANGED IDEA FROM, STATISTICS SHOW NOTHING OF THE SORT.

I CAN ASSURE YOU I HAVE NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER OF BEING DEAD IN TWO YEARS, NOR DO ANY OF MY FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES WHO VOTED OUT, EITHER.

        HMMMM…. THINKING ABOUT YOUR POSTS….

ARE YOU SURE YOU AREN’T TAKING THE PISS?

      • catalanbrian says:

As usual another offensive post by the Weasel. By showing his support for the likes of Marine Le Pen and AFD he shows his real politics in technicolor. He is clearly far to the right of most of the Kippers and wants a Europe consisting of little fascist states all fighting and warring amongst each other. What a sad little man.

      • catweazle666 says:

        Still snivelling, Brian?

        Would you like a tissue?

      • catalanbrian says:

What a pathetic and childish pair of comments. The problem is that the lunatics are now in charge of the asylum and that is not good for any of us, even the lunatics, who I suppose at least have the advantage of not having the foresight to see what is likely to happen.

      • catweazle666 says:

Oh, and by the way Brian, I’m a Trump supporter too!

What do you think of that, loser?

    • Ex-expat Colin says:

I don’t think its stuffed (yet) either Mike…but an intense job is/has been made in stuffing this country. I’d say that many aspects of life here have become, lets say of poor quality despite the claim otherwise. The one size fits all experiment cannot work as in the EU model…it won’t ever! Money won’t fix it and as we witness the EU is a money black hole that has a number of weak countries sucking at it.

My concerns are various but at the top is the massive debt accumulation and deficit that is not adequately controlled…money is hosed away having been forcefully extracted from us. It generally was wasted, but lessons have not been learned. It all appears to rumble on regardless and with common sense clearly absent.

I voted for the Common Market at the time I lived in Germany/Holland (RAF)…the comparison with the UK was simple to see. I knew nothing of the hidden agenda and on return to UK I soon bought myself out of a poor service belonging to a weakening country. The latter wrecked the former. Leave for 10 years and hope it rights itself…nope!

I wasn’t national service Fraser, I was a volunteer apprentice trained by national servicemen. Corporals with real degrees who had been dragged out of industry….lucky for me! They weren’t gentle fairy things either. Latterly on to older lecturers from industry within RAF Training Command. Quite a contrast to some I had to suffer in UK Tech Colleges later..it was a sort of Heinz 57 thing…too many lacked experience in what mattered. That has had consequences for an awful long time I think.

Mrs May has till about next April. I am with Sir Nigel on this…deeply suspicious.

      • KennieD says:

        Well said ex-expat Colin.
Sounds like you were at Halton. Terrific, proper training in those days.

      • Ex-expat Colin says:

Mainly RAF Locking (No 1 Radio School) and two others, Newton and Cosford…only RAF Cosford remains. Latterly they began to deal out ONC’s with the apprentice courses which was useful for later advancement. Couple of my mates were ex Halton Armourers who cross trained to Radio trades…interesting swap?

I did get to RAF Ground Instructor in the end. Then got fed up with it all!

    • Jane Davies says:

Mike, I have just read an article about the Scots wanting their first minister to resign……no surprise there as she seems not to represent the majority of Scots who do not want independence, even more so now the UK is leaving the EU. The people know that to go it alone would be a disaster but Sturgeon is pushing her own agenda and not for the good of Scotland either. Let’s hope the woman is gone soon, the people need politicians who represent the wishes of the people and not their own beliefs.

      • KennieD says:

        Jane,
that’s very interesting. Where did you read that?
Anyway, she can always get a job pearl diving. She can shout at the English for 30 minutes without taking a breath.

      • Ex-expat Colin says:

Sturgeon…think she woke the Scots Tories up…thats all really.

Salmond said he’d move to Antarctica if Trump became POTUS. Think that was on a QT prog? I have a short vid of Judge Judy tapping her wristwatch.

  16. mike5262015 says:

I can’t remember a time like now in Government. We have had unpopular Governments before, but this is different. This Government is unpopular with those who want a red flag flying over Westminster, but that is standard for a Tory Government, but we have disinterest and dissatisfaction with main stream Tory supporters, if you take away the loud mouth Tory yar-yars. We have a Gent from the European Parliament, who has failed to get elected to Westminster, but from outside the Commons, his aims have won the most important election of all in this Nation, and probably for the European Continent as well. Many British people are talking about this Gent getting a knighthood, or being made a Lord, and to cap it all, this Gent supported the winner in the USA, and now has a friendly relationship with their new President, unlike our Government ! The old heads in Westminster are busy with studied indifference to this Gent, probably due to his success outside the Commons, and eclipsing any successes in total, that the Commons have had collectively. ………. Like him or loath him, Nigel Farage has ability. and that is in short supply now, so addressing my remarks to Maggie May, I have this one question. Are you shaw that you have the combined targeted ability to exit GB/UK from the E.U. without Nigel Farage ?

    • catweazle666 says:

“Are you shaw that you have the combined targeted ability to exit GB/UK from the E.U. without Nigel Farage ?”

I think Maggie May’s problem is, she knows that if Farage is still well to the foreground, she will have extreme difficulty weaselling out of Brexit, including stage-managing a version so neutered and anodyne that it is no Brexit at all.

Talk about rocks and hard places…

      • mike5262015 says:

Then she will be an even bigger fool than Cameron. At the General Election, the Tory party could resemble the Lib/Dems, and Labour would have a new party to deal with. At least I hope so, and things are changing in our politics !

    • KennieD says:

      Mike,
As you mention the “Gent from the EU Parliament” who has never been elected to the UK parliament, I wonder if catybrian can explain why it has gone quiet about the tories breaking the law of spending limits to ensure they won at Margate (just to keep Farage out). And then there was over £9M of taxpayers’ cash to send out the remainers’ dodgy leaflet.

      • mike5262015 says:

My dear Kennie. It is not like me to speak for someone who has not given permission for me to do that, but on this occasion I will try to speak for Nigel Farage. ‘ This is all in the past. The Fat Lady has sung, and monies were used incorrectly from tax accounts and party funds. ………. Cameron has fallen on his sword. We are the winners, and just to rub it in, it is a shame about the Margate voters, but I seem to have had my way without being in the House of Commons. By the way, if you want an audience with Donald, maybe a word with me first may be helpful. Eat my pants you tossers ! ‘

      • Ex-expat Colin says:

Ch 4 \news (Crick) periodically winds up on it….Thanet. Last week he mentioned the open police case on the matter. They won’ say anything obviously but I simply wonder why its taking so long to finish. I don’t wonder actually…!

      • catalanbrian says:

Why would I know? I am no supporter of the Tories.

    • Downing Street will not honour or accept Nigel Farage. They despise him, Donald Trump and the rest of us 17.4 million. They prefer the EU gravy train and will/are doing their utmost to derail BREXIT. The EU shackles us to our Leaders’ delight because it keeps us subservient to Downing Street. Nigel and Donald are patriots and together will be great for Britain and the USA.That is gall to Remaniacs on both sides of the pond. After all they see us as Basket Deplorables and stupid illiterates to be dominated by the elite.

      • catalanbrian says:

“The EU shackles us to our Leader’s delight because it keeps us subservient to Downing Street” I thought that was what the Kippers wanted!

      • catweazle666 says:

        catalanbrian: “I thought…”

        Don’t flatter yourself.

      • catalanbrian says:

Nasty little remarks like that just expose you for the small minded creature that you are.

      • KennieD says:

“I thought that was what the Kippers wanted!”
Then, catybrian, that just confirms your stupidity.

      • catweazle666 says:

Says the primary exponent of insulting comments who never misses an opportunity to make snide little remarks about “Kippers”.

You are an exceptionally nasty little hypocrite who can dish out but can’t take it – typical Lefty in other words.

What are you going to do if Catalonia leaves the EU – which is not beyond the bounds of possibility – and decides to clamp down on expats, Brian?

Last time I was in that part of the World they didn’t have much time for the likes of you.
