Please help us fight back!

You will have heard that our political alliance, the ADDE, has been under direct and aggressive attack by the European Parliament. We are under attack because we are staunch critics of EU integration, and powerful advocates for freedom and national self-determination.  They also want revenge for our Brexit success.

We in the ADDE did exactly the same kind of spending as the other European parties.   We hired no fewer than two experienced compliance officers who vetted all our spending – and who are flabbergasted at the attitude of the parliament. But the parliament changed the rules retrospectively, and applied different criteria to us than to pro-EU groups.

In a deliberate attempt to close us down and force us into insolvency, they are claiming back a total of €421k.  We can deal with this through effective fund raising over a couple of years, but we are facing a cliff-edge of December 21st for which we have to find an additional €100k for the first tranche which we don’t currently have.

Let’s not give the EU Institutions the satisfaction of seeing a clear euro-critical voice shut down.  With your support, we can defeat the parliament’s vindictive assault.  We aim to raise this sum with crowd-funding appeals across Europe.

It’s nearly Christmas – the season of giving.  Please donate now. Any amount – a fiver or a tenner – can make all the difference.  If you can manage more, that would be great.  Please help now – tomorrow may be too late. You can donate here – http://addeurope.org/donate – Names of donors not revealed under €500.

Thank you for your support.

What a terrible organisation the eu is, who would join when they see how they behave.
But to have to donate, and see it go to the eu is a hard pill to take.

They keep saying, Our friends across the continent, I see no friendship in this outfit at all. the eu that is, not the people of Europe.

Is there no appeal, no second chance, the eu like second chances, ie 2nd referendums or second elections till they get the “right” answer.

    A pox on them

  2. HUGH ROSE says:

Roger, I wonder if this is the right tactic? I don’t have full knowledge of course but I would suggest defaulting on the demand and going into insolvency and then widely publicising the whole event to reinforce the wider public’s opinion that leaving this corrupt organisation needs to be done without delay – a slim book perhaps? The option remains whether a phoenix should then arise to see BREXIT out. Hugh Rose

    Roger

I have great respect and affection for you and if you personally had a problem then I would help in any way I could. However I can not bring myself to give money to the EU. I agree with Hugh Rose, default and then make a lot of noise!

  4. MIKE MAUNDER says:

My Dear Roger. I feel gutted that ADDE is being treated like this by the E.U. and a little surprised that the E.U. are that stupid, because up to now, I just did not like that organisation. What they were selling would never be bought by me. Now, I can only register my detestation for this bunch of numbnuts. Their attitude is simply Hitlerite, and that is out of date because it was dealt with in 1945. Just who the hell do they think they are ? – ” I am the greatest,” was the message from a fantastic boxer. – He could say that because he delivered the goods in the ring. What has the E.U. delivered on ? – Sod all as I see it ! I’m sorry Roger, but I will not give any money for it to be passed to the E.U. Let ADDE default. Go quiet for about a week, then come back in a new guise, because this filth has to be eradicated out of Europe. Maggie May should be backed by all of us; Politicians like that, but she should be told to sign the article and spend no more than ten minutes on negotiating with the E.U. because their attitude indicates that they are ready to cut off their nose to spite their face. Let them get on with it as GB/UK is OUT !

  5. Jane Davies says:

I have to say I agree with the above comments. I have no doubt ADDE has done everything right but this whole business stinks as being sour grapes and bordering on blackmail and we all know how blackmailers work, once the sum demanded is paid then more is demanded and on and on it goes. It is particularly galling that this money would go into the EU coffers which would be a huge stumbling block for the ordinary Joe who has suffered under the EU cosh for decades. Tell them to go forth and multiply, is there any chance of having financial backing from a non EU source? This whole business just backs up the opinion of how corrupt those unelected members of the commission are and you should be able to capitalise on that if this group is forced into insolvency.

  6. Dr Martin G. Spillane says:

Is this appeal being made in other EU counties, or is it limited to UKIP members and supporters? With a bill of over €400K, our contributions will not make any great impact and will simply be throwing frankfurter sausages to the hungry wolf, thereby encouraging further blackmail. Any donations should be made to a fighting fund totally separate to the ADDE and NOT to the ADDE, which is now a potential black hole.

Looking at the ADDE website, I have been unable to find out the legal status of ADDE or where it is incorporated or has its registered office. Do the members of ADDE Board or its organising committee have personal liability for its debts? If the personal liabilities are limited or even zero, (as one would hope), then I would suggest a “restructuring exercise”, whereby the ADDE sheds it debts by filing for bankruptcy, citing the unreasonable actions of the EU Commission as the “Force majeure” cause.

It is then reinvented as the D(emocratic)ADDE and any donations received by the fighting fund can be used to cover any previous personal liabilities and to fund the new organisation.. .

  7. Lucilla Maclaren Spillane says:

I agree with the comments. To donate, would be giving in to blackmail. That is not what we fought for.

  8. They REALLY are vindictive scum Roger but no surprise at the depths to which they will sink. Thank God we’re leaving their company – the sooner the better! Am sending £50. Good luck with the fund raising.

EU FINES UK £642M FOR POOR ACCOUNTING…the EU Farm payments. OK, handout some bollockings but not fines! Fix it…simply that FFS.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3616643/The-bizarre-240million-Egg-Cage-EU-leaders-hold-summits-year.html#ixzz4SKD03inZ

Enough is enough for me…sorry, won’t voluntarily spend a penny on them.

    • MIKE MAUNDER says:

The E.U. fines us for poor accounting ! ? ! So I am assuming that the E.U. has signed off on its own accounts at last. – No !, Then tell me who the hell will take notice of this fine, let alone pay it ?

  10. Dr Martin G. Spillane says:

“In a deliberate attempt to close us down and force us into insolvency, they are claiming back a total of €421k.”

OK, What is the legal status of ADDE and what are the downsides to insolvency? What, if any, would be the personal financial and legal liability of Roger and the other ADDE MEP’s? or that of UKIP? Would the ADDE MEP’s face sanctions, such as suspension from the EU Parliament? Why not abandon ADDE and start a new association (The Democratic ADDE?), registering that with the Commission? We need to know more.

  11. Anne says:

Not one PENNY more should go to the EU. Our very own Common Law Constitution FORBIDS us obeying foreigners, and yes, I remember very well that last WAR for we were bombed out, only to be fooled by “one of our own” in joining the then EEC/EC now EU.

So many gave their lives for our FREEDOM.

We fought in a terrible World War for you
Rather than have FOREIGNERS governing us,
Yet in “today’s” World, a way was found,
By PAYING those foreigners, without fuss.

Our MP’s and Government now eagerly PAY,
Those foreigners that we once fought,
Yet if born here in this Great Britain of ours
Is our once sworn allegiance as of nought?

Two empty Chambers in those Great Halls
Eventually may well come to be?
Where once a truly GREAT man sat,
And won VICTORY FOR YOU AND ME.

  12. MIKE MAUNDER says:

Law and Rules are kept to by people like us, who have respect for the organisation that we are members of. It is part of the DNA of the British to be bound by Rules, and to obey the Law. What happens in the event of the organisation going mad, and the British people’s referendum result to leave this organisation. Do we still keep to these Rules and Law ? The Egg in a Cage is proof positive that madness has taken over in the E.U., and following the absurd idea of a fine for poor accounting by a club that doesn’t sign off its own accounts, only goes to prove that we no longer have any respect for this stupid club. We must just leave and let them get on with it, and its members can take turns in running the lunatic asylum. We will be out !

    • Ex-expat Colin says:

      Egg in a Cage:
It was supposed to be cheap(?) but went Eur 80M over. Apparently made from used double glazing junk. Sicko’s!

  13. Lucilla Maclaren Spillane says:

I wouldn’t give another penny to this corrupt organization.

  14. Ex-expat Colin says:

Anyway, Chris Monckton summing the AGW charade up recently:

  15. Lucilla Maclaren Spillane says:

I liked Lord Monckton’s talk. It made also a nice change that the female ‘interviewer’ didn’t really get a chance to ask a lot of dumb questions, which is what happens far too often. Better not to speak if she had no constructive questions to ask.

    • Jane Davies says:

True…..but her constant giggling and fawning was irritating, I agree he got the chance to speak without interruption……so rare these days!

  16. Ex-expat Colin says:

A North London example: (QT this week)

This bloke is an absolute tosser and often fielded by the BBC. Supposed to be a professor at Brunel. We have to start somewhere so whats wrong with McDonalds for that. I started in both wet fish and fish & chip shops..so had to stop using the busses to and from that work? Enabled me to buy and maintain a bike though.

    • Jane Davies says:

How to open ones mouth and let everyone know what a rats rear end you are. Nigel made a good point but the idiot couldn’t see it.

Think I might be perusing the job opportunity columns fairly quick?

  18. Lucilla Maclaren Spillane says:

I recall a film in the run-up to the referendum, which showed a shopping mall for the very rich in Brussels and the commentator said: “you don’t need this; you are just the little people – all you need are cheap holidays and cheap mobile phones.” The quote may not be exact, but perhaps some of you will remember the film? It’s history, but it conveys an attitude that should not be forgotten.

    • mike5262015 says:

YES, I do remember that item, as I turned the air blue with the cheek of it. Lets face it, this idea comes from the Soviet Union, and may well still be in Russia. In the light of that from the E.U., it just shows how serf like millions of British voters are, when they voted to stay in this disgusting organisation.

    • Ex-expat Colin says:

Often heard the squeal about cheap holidays and roaming charges. Likely explains why vote turnout is poor…not much on folks minds really?

I remember that last WAR very much indeed. Bombed night after night becaue we lived very near that much used Manchester Ship Canal, which in those days, and on the other side of that Ship Canal, were all the factories that worked night and day-for the WAR effort and were also highly bombed too, Before the end of that WAR we were indeed bombed out and we moved down to Staffordshire to be with relatives until we had another house.

  21. mike5262015 says:

I SUGGEST ANNE that you forgive, even if unable to forget. Originally I think this sentiment was at the back of us joining the Common Market. I know that I voted to join, and my Father voted to stay out, because he had a rather active war. As time passed and the C.M. changed in title and standing, I realised my error in the 1980s. When Cameron lost the hidden plot, and made us for a referendum on the E.U., I was as pleased as punch because at last I personally would be able to correct my mistake. When the result was known, I was over the moon with pleasure.

A few years back, I just did not like the E.U., and wanted out. Since the referendum, with all the anti-GB/UK actions and attitude from Europe, I now feel an amount of hate to them. Just short of 70 years ago, Charles De Gaulle, on awarding an honour to Winston Churchill in France, said “France owes a debt to GB so great, that we will never be able to pay.” – What a pity those words were never backed up by actions ! It’s not just France, but the whole lot of them, and now we have a Government that is dicking about, rather than just leaving. May God help us ! ! !
